Story

In April, i lost my beautiful Dad to Cancer. In his final weeks he was very fortunate to have been given a bed in St Johns hospice, Clatterbridge Where he received care from the most selfless, caring people we've ever had the pleasure to meet.

St Johns hospice is 50% funded by donation and they rely on these donations to care for the 16 patients they give 24hr care to.

When dad passed, i asked one of the nurses what we could do to help support them and make their lives easier. Not cash donations, what could we buy them? The reply was simply toiletries and clothes for those they care for that don't have family around them to help.

I was blown away by the request as Dad had so many of us around him caring, sleeping over, wanting for nothing that i naively, maybe even ignorantly believed everyone had the same support.

So as everyone knows I love a good Bevvie, i'm taking on Sober October to raise just £20 per person to make a hamper of toiletries for each of the patients staying there. The hospice has 16 beds, hence the £320.

In memory of my Hero, my Dad.... Keith Jones. Please help me give something back. Thank you xxxxxxx
