We might not have the largest fanbase in the EFL, but I believe that at Burton Albion we are blessed with a special bond between the club and its supporters, who understand what a remarkable journey we have been on and appreciate the wonderful times we have shared. For a small town like Burton, having an EFL club is a remarkable economic benefit, which gives the town extra status and prestige and acts as a launchpad for all the marvellous work the club and trust undertake in the community. All of that has been put under great strain by the coronavirus pandemic, which has threatened businesses large and small and has had a great impact on the livelihood and welfare of all of us. There are so many people, charities, businesses and organisations that need support at present, so for Keith, Nolan and all the fans who are supporting this wonderful gesture to target their efforts towards the football club is evidence of that special bond and an acknowledgment of how important they believe the sustainability of Burton Albion is to the community. They can rest assured that we will be very grateful for the money raised and will, as always, ensure that every penny goes towards safeguarding the future of the football club we all love..........
