Story
There is a need to assist those that support veterans. Long suffering partners who have stood by their veteran spouse over several years also need something more than just palliative care, they need tools to assist them in helping their husband or wife adjust after military service; furthermore some children of veterans also require mental, physical and spiritual assistance to help them deal with life in the fast lane.
Additionally support staff of veterans are deserving of a settled mind that meditation brings and the tools that mindfulness has to offer. Support staff take on in a daily basis the horror stories and problems that suffering service personnel bring into civilian life: and unlike psychologists most support staff receive very little supervision if none at all.
So as important as it is that veterans receive support, it is just as important that family members and support staff are provided for.
