Organised by Keith Wood
I am member of 609 wr sqn first formed in 1936 as a reserve sqn for the RAF. During ww2 we were the first RAF sqn to get to 100 kills and then went on to be the first to get 200 kills. Seeing active action on the frontline with many battle honours including op Dynamo (dunkirk) and the battle of britain including the battle of the bulge (the falaise pocket). As a sqn we have been given the opportunity to purchase a replica spitfire and this is what i am trying to raise funds for. I know there are many worthy causes out there that deserve recognisition and help i am just trying to commemorate and remember "The Few" who fought to save this country during its time of dire need.
