Story

We are holding a SUPER CIRCUIT fundraiser with the support of the best trainers - Al, Ian and Mark - and my fantastic circuits crew. This won't be easy and we welcome anyone who wants to join us for 30 minutes or anywhere up to 3 hours. Alternatively you can donate NOT to participate (ha!). Any support is much appreciated. Thank you xx

Crohn’s & Colitis Support Group Lancashire offers holistic and emotional support through regular meetings, workshops and online education. National research by IBD UK 2020 shows the significant shortfall in healthcare for patients in our area. As a consequence patients feel isolated, scared and vulnerable. The route to diagnosis is difficult. Inflammatory bowel disease is lifelong and debilitating and requires significant lifestyle changes. Many members have been rushed to hospital for lifesaving surgery.

This group was set up by Victoria Danson 5 years ago and has created a community network of support for patients across Lancashire. The group has gone from strength to strength and many lovely members have been brave enough to share their inspirational stories. Guest speakers have provided invaluable information including researchers, health practitioners, mental health support workers, nutritionists and stoma nurses. We are aiming to achieve full charitable status to help access sustainable funding and support more people across Lancashire. Our journeys have not been easy but we support each other. We know we can do more and we ask for your help to help us to do this.

Crohn’s & Colitis Support Group Lancashire also aim to reduce isolation and inspire body confidence after bowel surgery by empowerment through our campaign IBD Beauty & The Bag https://ibdsupport.co.uk/
