Please help my furry idiot!!

On Saturday 14th October i woke at 7am to find Joey with all his skin and fur on the left hand side of his body missing.

My poor baby had skinned himself somehow. I rushed him to the emergency vet and he‘s now been in the vets for 7 days.

He had to be sewn up using the loose skin from his tummy meaning his nipples are now on his side and there was a 3cm area the skin wouldn’t reach that is still an open wound until the skin starts to re-grow. He has to be sedated every other day to have his full body bandage changed, he’s on pain relief and antibiotics.

Joey is insured but only up to £4000 and the vet said the treatment will exceed this. The current spend is £2900 and he will require treatment for at least another couple of weeks and potentially a second operation.

Any money left from the donations will be given to a cat charity.
