Nine & a Half Lives Cat Rescue is a self funded cat rescue based in Leicestershire who receive very little help but have increasing costs for vaccinations, spaying and neutering and microchipping for strays and surrendered cats that come in.

I have (maybe foolishly!) said I would do a 10 mile run on the 5th August this year which is quite a bit out of my comfort zone at the moment to try and raise a little towards the costs of the above for the charity. This equates to £10 per mile. The cost of the race entry I have covered so 100% of what we can raise will go to the cats.

Every £1 helps and the rescue does an amazing job and takes in cats that mostly have nowhere else to go as have been refused by other rescues or that are in danger including many special needs cases that quite often come in with huge vet bills.

I have to complete the race in under 2.5 hours to qualify so, quite frankly, it will kill me :) :) :) Please donate if you can spare a quid or two.
