My name is Kelly and I am passionate about cardiac. I want to raise money for Tiny Tickers which aims for a better start for tiny hearts (charity 1078114). 1 in every 125 babies has a serious heart defect, let’s make a difference to their beginnings and give them the best chance. More than 1,000 newborns leave UK hospitals every year without it being spotted, let’s raise awareness. Every year in the UK, more than 3,000 babies are born with congenital heart disease so serious they need treatment in their first year of life. 1 of these future statics could be my very own off spring hence the determination to make a difference. Just a small donation can make an incredible difference to these families’ lives. With £10,000 health professionals will receive vital information about detecting heart defects. With 50,000 Mums-to-be have their 20 week scan delivered by a better trained sonographer. Thanks to support, tiny tickers have been able to train over 150 sonographers this year, let’s increase these numbers. Tiny Tickers objective is to ensure every baby with a serious heart condition is detected and treated at the first opportunity and their family to get the support they need. I will be at Pelsall carnival on Saturday 8th July in the trade and craft show.
I will be taking part in the Birmingham half marathon Sunday 15th October.
