    Story

    steven was my third child.
I have two girls already and Bobby was my first boy.
    When
steven was due, there should have been 4 years 2 months between him and my
    oldest
daughter and just 17 months between him and my youngest daughter.
    Although we
    had always
said that we wanted a third child, at the time I found out that Bobby was coming,
we were left a little anxious as I had only just returned to work after my maternity leave from
Charlotte so we had all kinds of worries such as how my work would
    take it

being back off work again, could we cope financially and would we have enough space in our
little house for three of them.
    However, we
felt that there were more happy outcomes of
having a third, rather than negative ones so were more than happy
    that he was on
    his way.
    With the girls, we didn't
find out what we were getting until they arrived
    and it was so lovely
on their birth days that we were given the surprise of a girl each time.
    When it came to
steven though, we knew that we would be
    stopping
having children after this one so weren't
sure whether to find out what we were getting.
A few days before my 20 week scan, I had
    a
very unpleasant car accident which left my car in bits.
Luckily, nobody was hurt but I was
    very
    worried about what
impact the accident would have had on "bump" and went straight to
    a&e
    to check that
    everything was OK.
    They used to monitor
    which detects heartbeat
and there was a healthy heartbeat present which reassured us that
    all was well in there.
    This pushed
us to decide that we wanted to know what we were getting at the 20 week scan
in the following days after the accident, as we realised how close we'd come to losing him.
And on 5th November 2012, we saw a
perfectly healthy little boy on the screen.
    My
    husband was so

    excited that his third
and last child was to be a boy and from that day, we
referred to him as steven, as though he were already here.
The rest of the pregnancy went ok,untill we lost him..........
