Story
On 6th May 2021, Ken Jagger, wonderful husband of 54 years to Olwen, amazing dad to Leigh and Martyn, and Grandad to Ben, Lara, Bobby and Sonny passed away peacefully.
After spending eight years on dialysis, Ken was very lucky to have a kidney transplant 13 years ago. Unfortunately his new kidney recently began to fail and that, combined with a number of other health issues, became too much for him to fight. Olwen, Leigh and Martyn were able to spend time with him in hospital during his last few days and he died surrounded by his family.
Ken's funeral will take place on the 20th May 2021 at 2.30pm but, sadly, due to current Covid restrictions the numbers are limited.
As you know Ken really didn't like a fuss. We request family flowers only but would love it if instead you could make donations via this page in Ken's honour. Everything we raise will go to the The Renal Services at The Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. The Renal team, and some amazing science, gave us all an extra 20 years together. We know your kind donations will allow others to spend great times with their families and loved ones.
