Last weekend November 4th and 5th, I travelled up to Grafham Water sailing club for the National Laser Inland Championships. The wind ranged from around 7- 20 knots with large shifts, creating challenging conditions. After an inconsistent first day I ended the weekend 2nd girl once again. This means that I have qualified as 2nd girl for the European Championships 2018. I would love to go however I will be unable if I do not raise the money.

At weekend I competed at Hayling Island along with 40 sailors from around the country. Saturday with light winds and strong tide I finished the day 1st girl and 10th overall. Sunday the wind was around 10 to 12 knots for the first two races with a strong tide pushing the fleets over the line, resulting in several general recalls. The 3rd race the wind dropped to around 5 to 10 knots, I sailed up the left side of the course but the wind shifted and died resulting in a 21st (my discard). This left me 2nd Girl and 9th overall for the competition.

On September 23rd and 24th I competed in the laser 4.7 squad selector in Paignton were I fineshed 2nd girl and 10th overall, earning my spot in the Uk laser 4.7 squad 2017/18. Unfortuanetly I was unable to accept my place due to funding. However, this has not stoped me. This weekend I was training in Poole Bay and Harbour with some of the squad. Hopefully we will raise enough money to enable me to compete at the laser 4.7 european championships in Greece. Many thanks to all that have donated.
