Story

I am running the Belfast Marathon on 7th May 2018. I am running this Marathon to raise money for a charity close to my heart, Foyle Parkinson's.

This Charity is close to my heart as my brother, John, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease on 10th September 2015 at the young age of 52. John attends the Foyle Parkinson's group on a monthly basis which provides great support, information and friendship.

The Charity is able to fund programmes for its members and carers such as physiotherapy, nutrition, music and movement to name a few. The members find this hugely beneficial in helping to manage everyday struggles.

Myself and a few of our family members run the Belfast Marathon as a relay team last year to raise money for the same charity. I hadn't planned to but ended up running all of the Marathon that day. I done it for two reasons to support my family members and to challenge myself.

This year I have decided to run the whole thing myself with my family and friends cheering me on.

This is such a worthwhile cause my brother and all the members of Foyle Parkinson's group will benefit from anything you can donate.
