Many of you will already have heard or seen the aftermath of what happened however for those of you who haven't - in the early hours of the 5th August 2018 some individuals chose to commit one of the most senseless acts of vandelism by setting fire to multiple vehicles in the Kennington area of Ashford. This included Goat Lees Primary School minibus which is also shared with the Phoenix School.

The act of these individuals on that night has impacted on much of our community but most upsettingly the innocent children of these schools. Parents are having to have difficult conversations with their children about what happened, whilst ultimately themselves asking why.

We are appealing to the community for support in raising money to replace the bus. Whilst the bus was insured, the money from the insurance company will be paid to the lease company for the vehicle that was written off, leaving the school out of pocket and with no minibus.

Rather than our children sitting with the memory of a burnt-out minibus, we would like to try and raise as much money as possible via this crowd-funding page. We hope this will give the children something positive to focus on and give them the opportunity to witness their community pulling together.

If we are successful in raising enough money towards the replacement bus, any surplus from the donation to the school will be distributed between the families who lost their vehicles during that night.

So please give what you can regardless of how small the amount as anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
