Story

After watching a television documentary on the Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), Kenny Barrett felt inspired to contribute towards the noble cause.

Kenny will complete the 1 000 mile walking journey and his wife, Linda, will be accompanying him in a small Mazda Bongo campervan. The pair’s efforts will also aid the work of children’s charity, Ukama Community Foundation, in Cape Town. The feeding scheme provides meals for over 400 children on a daily basis. Kenny revealed he was drawn to the charity due to his son and daughter-in-law (Kennaird and Tayrene) supporting the initiative.

Sporting heavyweights Allan Lamb and Rob Louw have thrown their weight behind Kenny’s initiative. Both men were classmates of Kenny for five years and commend him for his generous gesture.
