I've raised £3500 to Support to Soldiers of Gloucester Museum , The Gloucestershire Regiment Association plus Cinderford Bowls Club.

70 years ago brave men of the ‘Glorious‘ Glosters fought at the battle of the Imjin River in Korea. They were to earn two Victoria Crosses and many more awards for there courage. It would cost many the ultimate sacrifice and many more became POWs. There action allowed vital time for the UN to regroup and save the capitol of Seuol. The Soldiers of Gloucester Museum tells the story brilliantly but have been hit hard through lack of funds due to Covid 19. I propose to raise awareness through use of various media sites and local papers. My personal challenge is to run the Forest of Dean half marathon so i am looking for sponsers.I want to collect whatever revenue I can to help this Charity. The race is on 26 September 2021 before my 70 birthday.
This is history is in danger of demise. There are remnants of the Regiment who fought this battle, still alive. Some live in our communities. We cannot and will not let their sacrifice fade into obscurity. 300 years, The men of Gloucestershire have answered the call. They fought so you might be free.
Help me to help them and raise awareness. Help me also support my Regimental Association and another small enterprise.
