    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Kent Cricket Club is based in Sierra Leone and the club is committed to grassroots development of cricket, endorsing the slogan “cricket for all”.

Kent coaches continually conduct cricket coaching sessions in schools and communities.

The club’s mission is to use the game of cricket to keep young people productively active, as they overcome the challenges they have faced during recent periods of crisis in Sierra Leone (e.g., war, Ebola epidemic)

Kent Cricket Club in Sierra Leone established a unique partnership with the Kent County Cricket Club in England in 2013.

Since the inception of the Club, Twenty20 Community Cricket based in Surrey, England, have been a huge sponsor of the KCC and will continue their sponsorship for the club in the Premier League by providing playing jerseys.

Kent County Cricket Club in England have been generous to their name sake club in Sierra Leone as they have donated many equipment that the club is currently using in schools and communities to coach children.

Cobham Avorians Cricket Club in Surrey has donated some huge equipment that will be used in the Premier League by the Kent’s players.

Kent Cricket Club men's team have gained promotion to the Premier League following their outstanding performance in the just concluded Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) / Mercury T20 Division One League.

The money raised will go towards supporting the players and coaches of Kent Cricket Club in Sierra Leone following their promotion to the national Premier League competition.

The competition starts at the end of November 2016 and runs until February 2017 so funds are needed urgently. Kent is expected to play 10 matches in the Premier League.

Most of the players are under 18 and come from very poor backgrounds. Without the financial support they will struggle to get to matches and training.

The money will cover footwear, transportation and food for the players and volunteer coaches.
