I am going to fly over to Southern India, Kochi to be precise. While there i will be trekking through the Indian countrysides and seeing spice plantations, I will also be visiting an elephant sanctuary where I will be bathing elephants! While in Southern India I will be visiting a poor rural village in which, I along with my team mates will be helping the locals to build a school.
This is important to me because I have realised that giving something to people even if it is just time is very important. Experiences and opportunities like this are made to grow a person and help them to see the bigger picture which I can sometimes forget while living in a developed country, failing to see austerity around us has made us ignorant to the things we take for granted. In this case, a building to learn.
The funds will be spent on:
Flights to and from India
Transportation while in India
Youth hostels that I will be staying in
