Story
Kerbs (Keith Rollerbladers, Bmx and Skateboarders) are redeveloping their local skate park. Money raised will benefit our cash flow in applying for a grant. We have already completed two phases and now working on our third and fourth.
Kerbs is a constituted community group which combines the skills, talents and commitment of a diverse committee made up of adults and young people, in taking ownership of the ongoing development for the facilities in wheeled sports. We aim to provide a safe but enjoyable, outdoor space for young people to socialise with their peers whilst learning new skills. The committee aims to keep young people engaged and to support them to make decisions, working together for the common good.
Kerbs is a young people's committee that represents the development and preservation of the community skate park. Young people participate in the running of the skate park and to maintain the park itself.
Kerbs provides opportunities for young people to be active citizens in their community to be directly involved in developing a facility that can be enjoyed by others as well as themselves. Young people's views and opinions are paramount, especially in the redevelopment and on the end result of the skate park. Young people aged from 3-30 use this popular facility.
