Around about Christmas time my mum started to feel unwell, unaware she had lung cancer which spread to her brain. On several occasions my mum went to the Drs to try and sort her symptoms. But the Drs would keep telling her she's fine. In May my mum had a bad seizure, because of this she went to the hospital where she would find out about her cancer. Being the strong and beautiful soul she is. She told herself and her family she would beat it! She said it with so much confidence. The drs told her she would have 3 years to live with treatment (radiotherapy and chemotherapy). Come June, my mum started her radiotherapy. Things were starting to look up, she celebrated her birthday with the family and she was so happy. Week after she finished her course of radiotherapy, she started to deteriorate due to an infection and in turn became sepsis. She over come the sepsis but left her weak and stuck in hospital for over a month. Over a short period of time my mum lost her self and lost her battle with cancer on the 28th of July.

We did not expect her to go so soon and because she thought she had 3 years to live, didn't save enough money for her funeral. On top of that, her ex boyfriend decided to help himself to all my mums funds and running away with everything. Leaving her 3 girls to pick up the pieces. So we ask kindly if we could get some help with the costs of the funeral. Any remaining money will go to the Douglas Macmillan charity.

This money will give us the base funeral as we can't get any help from the Government, any money left over will go back to McMillan cancer support.
