Story

My mums suffering began around 4 years ago when she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer spreading to her lymph nodes. The doctor were able to give us hope with treatment, allowing my mum to be put into remission. That suffering started again just a few weeks ago! When my mum was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer as well as chronic myeloid leukaemia.

Let me tell you a little about just how special my mum is and how it pains me to be writing this very story. She has two daughters, a step daughter and a partner hopefully soon to be husband. She is the most selfless and kind hearted young women you will ever meet if you have had the pleasure of meeting. I say ‘young’ because my mum has just turned 46 on the 29th of September spending it in the hospital. My mum is the life and sole of our family and always helping everybody, never once growing up have I witnessed my mum put herself first. With everyone’s help I want to achieve that, all my mum has asked for with her time left is a decent wig, from all those who have friends or family suffering or have suffered we know how expensive these can be and to get a really good one that’s not noticeable, with low confidence and self-esteem drawing attention from everyone with having no hair.

My mums after being told their isn’t anything the health professionals can do is currently undergoing some treatment hoping to prolong her life for as long as possible. At 46 you don’t expect to be fighting for time to live, as a daughter I never expected to be telling this story about the bravest, kindest, most strongest lady in my life.

With all the love and kindness we receive off people, you are the reason we can make this happen. How ever small contribution to reach our target we would be exceedingly grateful.

Thank you kindly for taking the time to read our story.
