I've raised £16000 to pay for my major thoracic surgery which must be completed before September 2019 when the NHS funding for this procedure ceases.

I have what‘s known as Pectus Excavatum! I am in need of major thoracic surgery which must be completed before September 2019 when the NHS funding for this procedure ceases. This surgery is to repair my residual Pectus Excavatum (Sunken chest syndrome) or acquired thoracic dystrophy and is this corrective surgery will be performed at The James Cook University hospital in Middlesbrough. I have already visited a London based cardiology specialist for a series of preoperative investigations which were not NHS funded. Thanks to some of my FB friends and family members near and far I managed to raise £2350. £2250 of that paid the London based cardiology bill and with the remaining money I bought a second hand recliner in preparation for my up coming surgery. All together I am aiming to raise the sum of £16000 to cover all of costs of travel, accommodation and non-funded NHS services. I live in Torquay Devon and as a single mum on minimal working hours I am unable to raise this amount without your kind assistance. 15 years ago I had major chest wall reconstruction and I have a heart felt story that i’d like to share with you which tells you what my body has previously endured.
