    Story

Hillary Bowling Club was hit by the major floods in Durban, South Africa just last year. This is the second time in the last 2 years that the bowling green has been ruined due to floods, and unfortunately the club is in a position where they cannot afford to pay out the full costs for the repairs as well as the green to be reconstructed by a professional. My husband holds this club close to his heart as his parents have been members for over 50 years, and this is a place for a lot of the pensioners and youngsters to socialise and play a sport they love. The club relies on sponsorship for their tournaments, and in order to host a tournament they need a bowling green that is fit to play on, which means money being spent on getting this sorted out. The Club is properly constituted and is administered by a Management Committee elected by the members at each Annual General Meeting. Written records of meetings and financial control is exercised by a Treasurer and an Auditor to ensure the Club functions in accordance with all laws and the regulations of the game. If we can help other charities, why can't we raise funds for a club that has been established since 1938, to help keep it running, Thank you for taking the time to read my story

I truly hope you will find it in your hearts to give, to a good cause. Thank you!
