I've raised £5000 to Kerry Large GBR Paratriathlete

Kerry received nerve damage in 2007, causing her to lose muscle control and sensory feeling in her lower body. However, she has challenged the doctors and she has achieved more than they ever thought would be possible. With lots of rehab post injury she has competed for her country at World and European Championships. Kerry’s goal is to now make the Paralympics
Kerry was sporty as a child, completing nationally in both swimming and running. Following injury Kerry was encouraged to try triathlon as this would be less stress on her body than long distance running. In her first paratriathlon race she come away with a Gold medal. Away from her elite sporting career, Kerry is a mummy and a wife, and works full time in purchasing and part time as a sport therapist.
Sponsorship will go towards costs to race international this season, which will enable her to develop in the sport and reach full potential.
This includes travel and accommodation to international and UK competitions, training expenses, and essential consumables such as bike, swim and running equipment and sports nutrition, coaching/gym costs.
Specific for each discipline:
• A wetsuit that is adapted for her disability when in the water
• Bike- Kerry is currently on a loaned bike from British Triathlon
• Running trainers- You would be surprised how quickly Kerry goes through trainers.
If you are looking to contribute as part of a company or organisation, Kerry would be delighted to work alongside you to promote your brand/company and give something back - please get in touch. Similarly, if you have any questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to contact her.
This is an incredibly exciting time, and Kerry would love to share with you. Kerry’s motivation, determination and commitment to accomplishing is outstanding and she has so much more to show. With your help Kerry hopes to go on to achieve at the highest level providing a little inspiration along her the way!
