Welcome to my Crowd Funding Just Giving Page! From June 17th 2017 to July 15th 2017, I'll be heading out to Sri Lanka and India to volunteer with a number of community projects.

I'll be working at an Elephant Sanctuary and with the Community Tsunami School Programme for my first two weeks in Sri Lanka before heading over to New Delhi, India to volunteer with the Female Empowerment Programme which is a social initiative that provides Computer, English and Vocational Training for young women within the local community.

All three of these programmes help to combat issues that are very close to my heart. The poaching of Elephants for their tusks and the destruction of their habitats is an ever-present issue and the sanctuary are working incredibly hard to protect this beautiful species. As a Student and a Brownie Leader here in the UK, my passion for female empowerment and education is monumental... They should not be a privilege but a fundamental right. Through these programmes, I can contribute my time and effort to help to make a difference and I'm absolutely humbled to be able to do so.

I'm hoping to cover some of the costs myself using my savings but unfortunately flights, accommodation, funding the programmes, training, equipment and the prospect of feeding a hungry volunteer for an entire month doesn't come cheap which is ultimately why I'm writing this.

Please note that any surplus money that is raised will be donated to each of the programmes I'll be working with in order to help them continue their incredible work. This money may contribute towards feeding costs, equipment or vital healthcare.
