On Sunday 3rd September Alan Watson, Executive Chairman & Owner, Kevin Appleton, Operations Manager, and Sam Starkey, Head of Customer Success, took on and completed the challenge of the Outlaw X Half Ironman Relay at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire.

Starting with a 1.2 mile Swim, Kevin completed the distance in an amazing 46min 24 Secs, and after a 400m run from the lake to Transition , where Alan was waiting to take over the baton, Alan set off on the 56 mile bike leg on the roads of Nottinghamshire. 3hrs 03 mins later Alan returned to Transition after a superb ride where Sam was eagerly waiting to take over the baton and set off on the 13.1 mile Half Marathon. By now the temperature was rising and into the mid 20 degrees. Sam completed the distance in an awesome 1hr 38 mins and all three crossed the finish line together as a team in a fantastic combined time of 05:35:28.

To add the icing on the cake this time was fast enough to leave Team BMc in 3rd place overall. A podium finish in the first (maybe not the last) Team Bmc Outlaw 70.3 (Half Ironman Distance) Triathlon.
