Oceans to Earth started as a group of canoeists who becoming aware of the increased pollution along the shoreline in inaccessible places set out to clean these areas up. They are still cleaning up the shore line but have moved on to encourage local communities to take ownership and participate in activities to improve both their local areas and get outside. They have worked with youth groups and schools to encourage and educate young people, creating both educational materials and facilitating activities to enable this. They now want to take their work to other areas and inspire more local groups to participate in this model of enjoying the outdoors, improving both people's and the environment's well being. The money raised will help them to do this.
