Story
Every year is a struggle to gain enough funding to keep community activities and family areas accessible and free for all to attend.
This year in celebration of the 10th Birthday we had a variety of events that all the family could attend.
- Penny Lane Outdoor Family Area with live music, wrestling, arts and crafts, fancy dress and more
- Liverpool Together programme of activities, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older and disengaged people
- Wavertree Then and Now photo exhibition
- Quaker Garden alcohol free stage
- Zine making workshop
- Penny Lane and Toxteth Cemetary Walking Tours
- Buskers Corner
- And loads more
We also employed a lot of local people, including giving paid work experience to young people trying to get the opportunity to work within the events sector.
We would love to be able to do this and more each year. We feel the feedback has been brilliant and there is an appetite in the area for this to grow. However with funding getting harder any donation big or small from those who can afford it would help massively in us achieving this. We could plan more, raise awareness through marketing to those it didn’t quite reach this year and also employ more people to help each individual event flow better and be more enjoyable experience for all who attend.
We absolutely loved seeing how popular and fun this year was, with a little extra help financially along the way we know this can grow from strength to strength and will be a date everyone will mark in their calendar each year.
Thank you
