Story

On Wednesday July 25th 2018 I will start a ride from London to Paris.
I aim to complete the 308 miles by Saturday 28th and reach Paris just ahead of the Tour de France which rolls into Paris on the 29th. I am also cycling 200 miles in 2 days around London on May 12th and 13th.

I hope to raise as much money as possible for the Danny Green Fund, www.thedannygreenfund.org.uk. (registered charity no. 1150334)

Danny is the son of my wife's friend and ex work colleague, Lisa and her husband Chris.

Danny was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 10 years old and sadly passed away in July 2012 after a brave fight.

The fund does great work in helping other children/families going through similar experiences, provides therapy and equipment and funds research into brain tumours, specifically 'Posterior Fossa Syndrome'.

Danny's story and the great work of this small but fantastic charity, which is close to my wife Jo's heart, can be seen on their website, www.thedannygreenfund.org.uk.

Danny's family set up this charity in Danny's name and they do great fundraising work locally on Canvey Island. I am keen to support their inspiring efforts.

As a 50+ MAMIL, (Middle Aged Man in Lycra), this really will be a great challenge for me and I would ask you all to pledge as much as you can comfortably afford as it will really inspire me to train and to push myself on this ride.

Thank you so much in advance.

Kevin.
