Story

Hi,
My name is Kevin Quinn. On saturday 31st august 2019, myself and 4 friends are doing a 10,000ft skydive to raise funds for the childrens kidney fund for Northern Ireland.
Why the childrens kidney fund?
The charity has been working hard to help families of children with all kinds of kidney problems, something one of our friends who is taking part in the skydive has learned first hand.
His 2 year daughter was born with a rare, serious condition called congental nephrotic syndrome, which means her kidneys are unable to process protein and ultimately leads to total kidney failure. She has had one of her kidneys removed already with the other due to be removed in the near future.

As a result of this she requires a kidney transplant but is unable to recieve a new kidney until she is a bit stronger, has to receive intravenous medication for 13 hours a day and is tube fed.
Some of her medications help her to live as a "normal" 2 year old when not connected to her medical equipment but are not available on the NHS. The EPO INJECTIONS Are provided by the kidney fund free of charge and are funded totally by charitable donations. The charity also provides help and support to parents and are always on hand for advice .
So we have decided to do something to help and thought a skydive would be a good way to raise much needed funds while raising the profile of the charity.
Thanks for reading this and for any potential donations!
Every donation helps so please spread the word
Many thanks, Kevin
