I am trying to raise some money for my friend Kevin. He was born with congenital heart disease, where one of his valves which controls the flow of blood out of the lower right chamber of his heart to the lungs, is narrower than normal.

He has been on medication since he was born and would continue to be for the rest of his life but he urgently needs a heart valve operation.

He currently has two blood donors his uncle and a close friend who can donate blood as required and for when he has his operation, they have been helping him to stay alive at the moment until he can get the life saving operation needed.

Kevin is the only child to his parents but sadly lost his father at 55 yrs old in March this year and his mother 56 yrs old. His mother flew from Jamaica to the US to work to help pay for his medical treatment but she was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the US on her way to another state where she broke a lot of bones in her body and sadly passed away from her injuries.

He doesn't have any family left except for his uncle now, losing his mother has taken a lot out of him and he feels to give up every day but I pray he continues to fight as I wouldn't want to see another life gone.

Medical treatment in Jamaica costs a lot even with medical insurance but with your help he can have the operation he urgently needs.The money raised is for the operation and his aftercare.
