I've raised £240 to To help re-build my friends resting place and bring back a smile to everybody’s faces. Bringing a smile to everybody’s face who visits!

This is my dear friend Kevin Smith who we lost at a tender age of 11 years old, Kevin was involved in an accident whilst we were both push biking home from school.
A car took Kevin off his pushbike and he tragically died 13/06/1986
Since that day in 1998 I promised myself that I would be there for my friend and keep his memory alive until we meet again! A lot of time and effort was spent to build a place to go relax and spend time reminiscing, its taken 19 years to get Kevin's grave how I pictured it in my dreams...beach themed...peaceful and tranquil And i also wanted everybody to feel welcome to build a sandcastle whilst visiting their loved ones that was my dream to make everbody smile who saw Kevs resting place and i excelled on his 19th anniversary “June 2017”
In my eyes it was perfect... absoulety Beautiful....
Finaly I was happy with what I had achieved.
But unfortunately 2 weeks ago we received a letter from the council stating that someone had moved Kevin's headstone by 2 foot, I told them this couldn't be possible as the headstone had always been set back and had never been inline with others In his row. They also told me over the phone they had photos to show that it was in line with others back in 2015 this made me doubt my own mind, doubt my own memory! I view these photos 1 of which was a photo of a complete differnt grave “why was she showing me this ?” the other showed that Kevins was inline dated 2015 but i asked the manager to come to Barton cemetry with me and stand exactly where this photo was taken as we stood 200 metres away it looks in line of course it does from a distance!
She then asked me to remove everything so they could probe the grave this upset Kevin's family and I deeply so much so that I got frustrated and ruined all my hard work, now the place I spend most of my spare time is not the peace garden i dreamt of for 19 years.
1 week after removing everything I received a phone call from the Manger @ Woodlands crematorium Scunthorpe, stating that I was right and they was wrong Kevins headstone hadn't been moved and it had always been out of line from the rest in his row, They didnt even need to probe as the headstone is still sat on the orignal concorete base, Why would anyone move a headstone 2 foot back ?
No apology was made for the upset and distress caused.
so I am now asking for help to restore Kevin's grave to the beautiful place it was and to fix the headstones back in place as over the years it has come loose from its base and fixings.
The quote is £240
From Serenity Memorials Grimsby for the memorial mason to remove it and replace the fixings and anchor It back in the ground.
I dont want them to lay the headstone down as its “unsafe”
Originally £200 was spent on decoration and ornaments to make Kevin's resting place somewhere for all to enjoy young and old...in which I shall be restoring the grave back to the welcoming tranquil place it once was.
Any monies donated after the target will be used towards a traditional Granite kerbed memorial which would be my ultimate dream come true and a bench in Kevin's memory...thank you for reading my story.
Every single donation no matter how small will be a big help and will be greated with a huge thank you from myself and on behalf of Kevins family!
Thank you for reading our story, and i thank you in advance
