We are trying to help solve the issues of homelessness by supporting a local charity, Carlisle Key. This Charity is dedicated to solving the problem of homelessness in the community, and it is especially important to us as young people are very susceptible to becoming homeless whether it be from a divorce or family fall out. Furthermore, the concept of being homeless is often misunderstood as many people believe that you are sleeping rough in the open without shelter or food, however sleeping between homes on a sofa is also classed as homelessness. We hope that you can make a difference as the issue is much more profound than people believe and it affects so many people. 250,000 people in England and Wales are classed as being homeless with just over 4000 people sleeping rough. We aim to raise money for a Carlisle Key, a charity which will help people who are suffering, and also as part of other fundraising we will ask for donations of money and food from big businesses. You can make all the difference so we would much appreciate your help.
