Story
I would like to help child-headed house holds, teenagers doing prostitution and drugs, families who go to bed without food. Teenage pregnancy and girls leaving school because they cant afford sanitary pads. I would also like to teach kids the importance of education. We are also running a " Keep a girl child in school campaign" where we do peer education in school and tackling issues that are affecting young girls and leading them in to leaving. We also empower women and teaching them the importance of education, Encouraging teen mums to go back to school while the Centre we would like to start will have day care for for teen mums who don't have anywhere to leave the child. Bu we only take care of the child if the mother is willing to go back to school with our assistance.
We also have different support groups for different situations, e.g rape survivors, people living with HIV, Children heading households, teen mothers, single mothers, abused victims etc
We also have community health workers who visit door to do in and found out about household issues and we do referrals where is required.
We also collect food parcels and donate them to poor families and we donate sanitary pads to schools that we have adopted. when we do donation we invite parents as well and have different speakers on parenting, HIV, living a healthy life and we encourage parents to talk to their children about sex, peer pressure, substances abuse, teen pregnancy, gender-based violence ,
We also giving support to single mother and help them in getting skills so the can look after their families.
Our goal is to reduce number of girls dropping out of school, reducing number of teen pregnancy, reduce number of HIV infections, encourage more women to be independent. Restore young girls dignity and self-esteem and Give child-headed families hope.
