Story
Fundraising is underway for a new community pavilion at The Patterdale King George V playing Field, Cumbria. The new pavilion will be at the heart of the community hosting the local Cricket and Football teams, also hosting local events like The Patterdale Dog Day.
The new pavilion, will be replacing our current pavilion which unfortunatley is becoming beyond repair, with serious woodworm.
We have recieved planning consent to replace our pavilion with a larger structure, that will enable us to continue supporting Ullswater United and Patterdale Cricket Team, Patterdale School and other comunity activities and events such as the Epic Ullswater Swim, Helvellyn Triathlon and Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay!
The cost for the demolition and rebuild of our pavilion is estimated at £150,000, of which we have so far raised £30,000+ towards the build. We aim to raise alot more by hosting local events. And we are in the process of applying for grant funding from various sources.
We are on facebook @KGVPavilion - Where there will be more pictures of the pavilion and also a video of our amazing location!
Cash donations welcomed at Sharmans in Glenriding or Patterdale Village Stores.
