I've raised £5000 to Sparks medical charity, Peterborough hospital and UCLH to assist in the development and equipment for babies born with brain damage.

As a 2018 candidate on BBC's The Apprentice, as its my birthday and as a mum, I am asking you to all please help my cause!
Here is my daughter Sorayah at 3 days old, receiving brain cooling treatment at UCLH Euston, London. Sorayah was born at Barnet hospital with the umbilical cord around her neck, causing her brain to be starved of oxygen and being born with zero brain waves. Sorayah was quickly rushed to UCLH to received brain cooling treatment over a 3 day period. Luckily for us they were also conducted some research and asked if Sorayah could receive Xenon Gas (£100k per canister) alongside the brain cooling (a previous successful trial now a legal requirement) to monitor if the gas would make an impact in preventing disability, brain damage or possibly even death. Lucky for us Sorayah hit all of her milestones within the first 2 years of her life, whilst still being part of the trial and monitored closely. Sorayah is a healthy 4 year old, clever, mobile, funny and strong minded. This is not the case for all babies born this way, we were very lucky, but also blessed to have received these treatments. So many babies are born this way, yet so many hospitals don't even have the brain cooling facility, forcing babies to be sent in an ambulance to the nearest brain cooling hospital within 12 hours, or the cooling and/or gas is not as effective. Please help me raise money for SPARKS medical charity who helped fund the research for both trials. To UCLH to support the great work that they are already doing, thank you Giles and Mary, and to Peterborough hospital to help provide these treatments in my home town.
