My Name is khalid Dahbi and I Am a chef from London, I would like to Invite the survivors of the grenfell tower and their families to an evening where they can enjoy some food cooked by me and forget about their horror for at least one evening.

I had an honour to cook some hot food on the site of the fire and serve it to some the survivors on the days that followed this tragic incident , it brought tremendous joy to everyone including the volunteers that worked tirelessly. we did this again on a week that followed and it was great to give something back. Our work was followed by the evening standard but never brought to light yet it was picked up by an international paper that was following our human cause.see link below

I'm organising a cultural event on 16th & 17th September celebrating Gastronomy and fashion under one room at the connaught de Verre rooms and would like to take this opportunity and invite the Victims for one evening to enjoy a 4 course Moroccan inspired menu cooked by me. I'm planning to cook for up to 80 guests as this is the capacity of the room hired at the venue.

I have reached out to various organisations for support but I haven't had any success in raising some funds to help me make this happen. the major cost is the venue hire which is around 13k, the rest is covered from by me such as food & beverage , staff & furniture hire. the 3k remaining would be for small gifts that I can hand out to each person to perhaps inspire them to cook. I would also like this to be an annual event. Your contribution will certanly make this event a memorable one for everyone.

I'm looking forward to the evening and to look after the survivors, my invitations are out and I will look forward to welcome everyone, your contribution will make this event a success for now and years to come.
