I've raised £1500 to raise awareness for the closure of GUANTANAMO

Event raising awareness about the human rights abuses at GTMO.
Hi, my name is Khandan Lolaki-Noble.
Following the success of the inaugural meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the closure of Guantanamo Detention Facility (APPG), we would like to fly over former Guantanamo detainee and award-winning author of 'Don't forget Us here', Mansoor Adayfi, to the UK. Our aim is to spread awareness about the human rights abuses at Guantanamo. On the week of June 26th, we will be attending Parliament for a second meeting with the APPG, we are therefore trying to raise funds to cover the costs for travel and visa application of our guest.
Guantanamo is a site of unparalleled notoriety where systematic use of torture, inhumane and degrading treatment against hundreds of men, without charge, who are deprived of their most fundamental rights. The facility is a symbol of a systematic lack of accountability for state sponsored torture and ill treatment and impunity granted to those responsible.
Time is running out for us and we need your help. We need to raise £1500 for the cost of the flight and the visa application.
I understand with the cost of living crisis it is a lot to ask and many of you already have the charities that you contribute towards, but any little helps. If every one donates a minimum of £3.00, in the next few days, we can hopefully reach our target and make this important journey possible.
Many Thanks
Khandan Lolaki-Noble
