    Story

I am raising money for a local non-for profit group of volunteers at Rescue Kitties Manchester. These amazing humans give up their time and money for the love of cats alongside their day jobs, and get called out to scan or trap cats or mothers and litters. Rescue Kitties take in and re-home stray/feral/vulnerable pregnant cats and kittens with an aim to get them under cover with proper homes.

As well as individually funding a lot of the work, these volunteers rely upon support from the local community to keep them going. I would like to offer my help due to my love of cats and the joy and happiness they bring. I would like to see less cats on the streets, and less unwanted cats which Rescue Kitties aims to encourage also, through a strong neutering policy. The group has been overrun with cats and kittens and have been struggling to re-home during the busy kitten season, so they need all the help they can get.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. I'm so pleased to be able to donate this much needed money to Rescue Kitties who need it more than ever at the moment. Despite having a prolonged chesty cough, I didn't get the worst time in the world at 44 minutes 42 seconds. I also got to represent one of 170 Vegan Runners at the event increasing visibility of the club and showing everyone up with the club gaining first place, second place, fastest female and fastest team.

Thanks to everyone who has donated! It's means so much! One week to go and hopefully target will be reached by then! Rescue Kitties need all the funding they can, as vet bills can go way into the hundreds when there is a kitty with serious problems. Thank you again! X
