The John O'Byrne foundation
Set up with the assistance of a few others this foundation which enables John to make some children who attend the children's hospital in Glasgow as either inpatients or outpatients experience a little happiness in their lives. Our motto is happiness matters and the logo for the foundation was created by the children currently attending the hospital due to long term illness .
John set up the foundation after noticing through his voluntary work at yorkhill where he has volunteered for the last 9 years that some children did not get the opportunity either through illness or complications to attend organised functions or days out and thought it would be a great idea to set up a small specially tailored events for some of these children . The foundation depended on family and close friends donations to enable John to plans these little escapes for the children untill lmi glasgow (kiaras modelling group) made us there only beneficiary . Since then they have raised a staggering £31000 we have now arranged to send children on all expenses paid trips to euro Disney Lapland Cyprus Italy and the amount of gifts we have brought into the hospital for those kids that can't venture out is just endless .
