    Story

    Dear friends,

I would like to reach out and ask for your support over the coming months.

We’ve had some life-changing news over the past week, and are trying to come to terms with a very sudden diagnosis for Kelly of Cancer. This has obviously hit us like a steam train and are still desperately wanting to wake up.

We have been extremely blessed (Thank you to you both xx) to have access to the very best medical humans, and are waiting to have an operation this week or next.

There will be a journey after this to get Kelly fitter and stronger than she’s ever been, and so this is really where your help would be amazing.

Kelly hasn’t worked for 6 years - by choice - to be our younger son’s parent-carer. I now need to get into a position to be all that I need to be and may well be unable to work for a time myself. I’m needed here.

We’re not ‘cap-in-hand’ people. This isn’t a natural or easy thing to ask, however I would love to be in a position where I didn’t have to worry about finances/income whilst navigating through this, and so your generosity will be very, very much appreciated.

We’ve managed to find complimentary treatments and nutritional supports to run parallel to any treatments post the operation, and so your help will go directly towards these and many other things - keeping Kelly strong and happy over the next months.

I’m not a huge user of social media (as I know many of you know!) and believe there are better ways to share this kind of news, so apologies for any shock, but I’m also aware that this is an important time to reconnect with my friends.

    Thanks for listening.

Hi all. Thanks so much for all your support so far. Kelly is doing really well; focussing on being as healthy and well as possible whilst we look at next steps. More scans have happened and we await meetings with oncologists to discuss whether surgery on the liver will be offered (we hope it is). Long way to go still. Thank you for holding us.
