I've raised £600 to fund a Christmas party for Clumber Lodge Children's Home

For over 40 years, people from Great Sankey and Penketh have been raising money to try and bring a bit of Christmas cheer to children who may not have had the best start in life or for various reasons have found themselves in the care system. Our aim is to provide a Christmas party and give each child a present (which they chose themselves) up to value of around £65. Each year the number of children attending from Clumber Lodge differs but it is usually Around 20/25 and so we need to fundraise throughout the year to make sure we can afford to make this a special day and give each child a gift they will treasure as well as a party experience they won't forget.
In order to raise money, the committee have organised fundraising events from bowling and cricket matches to sportsmans afternoons and a band night. This year several committee members (including Bob Betteridge!) have signed up to run the Warrington 10k in the town centre on Sunday 17th September.
Please give generously to help reach our target figure. We have been secretly plodding after dark and in the dusk hours. We are very far from being fit and an inhaler or two will be required to help get us round but we determined to do this for the children of Clumber Lodge.
