Can you imagine your son, daughter, niece, nephew or any other child having to sleep on a rubbish tip because they were homeless?

Yes, I know its shocking but for many of the street children in Narok (Kenya) this is a reality.

Sadly, for many of these children the local rubbish tip is their home.

Here they not only find themselves at risk from the dangers associated with being homeless but also from having to live in such dirty, unsanitary conditions.

My name is Donna and together with my 3 friends, Amanda, Monica and Sarah, we are trying to raise enough funds to enable us to take part in a project to build a home for the street children of Narok.

We really do believe that it is every child's right to have safe shelter.

The home will be a place where the children will find safety and security but also somewhere they will find love.

During our time in Narok, we will also be volunteering with other local projects, such as helping out at a community health facility and visiting people and families affected by HIV and AIDS.

The money we raise will also go towards purchasing clothes and medical supplies for the children.

Any donation however small is appreciated.
