Story

Kieran, one of our counterpunch members has been on a tough journey recently. Battling with his depression and having suicidal thoughts. He has recently been able to talk to us about his depression and anxiety and is starting to recover. The news of him about to be a father for the first time triggered his need to get support and open up.

Kieran has always used his photography to help manage his depression. When he is taking pictures of still life he feels happy and at peace. Not only this, but he uses his photography to help so many people voluntary.

Due to his mental health struggles Kieran has had to reduce his hours at work temporarily. Also about to become a dad means that money is tight. It has now got to the stage where Kieran has had to sell his camera. I know he much this has upset him. Without the camera Kieran is finding it very difficult to manage his mental health and his depression has hit him hard.

We have found his camera and would love to buy it back for Kieran. Its £500.

I know this isn’t like giving to a charity, but I know how much this can support Kierans mental health and be an amazing dad.

If 500 people can donate £1, we can buy Kieran his camera back and he can carry on doing amazing things with his photography. This is the thing that makes him happier than ever and I know he will use this camera to support so many people and charitable organisations.

Thank you
