I've raised £750 to help fund Kieran as he ventures to coach at a refugee soccer camp this summer.

Can you please support me this summer as I embark on a mission to coach at a camp that combines soccer and trauma care for children from a Refugee Community South of Seattle, USA?
Setting the Scene
My Nanny and Grampy chose to travel to the UK on a boat in 1955 from St Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. I am a product of West Indian Caribbean Immigrants, who had a choice.
A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. In respect to all refugees, I acknowledge that this definition is far too simple, but it does illuminate a truth that:
Any “refugee” is a person like you and me. Therefore, every Refugee is a Friend of mine.
What am I going to do?
I am going to serve at a week long camp that combines soccer and trauma care for children from a refugee community south of Seattle. The children will primarily be from Afghanistan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Somalia and Eritrea. During the camp, the children will move through each day in teams with their coaches (like me) having loads of fun through the medium of “Soccer” and play! We will provide trauma care through small and large group times where we talk about Joseph (a significant person in the Christian faith) and the challenges and triumphs he experienced. The biblical context will help facilitate opportunities for children to reflect on their own lives through conversation and play therapy and give them the opportunity to know hope through the Christian faith too.
I want to use my skills and previous experiences to serve a community that I care about plus explore and learn how such a special project operates.
Every Refugee is a Friend of mine. I choose to give my ALL and try to be a catalyst for transformation in my Friends lives.
Can you please financially support me by contributing towards the cost of my flights so that I can serve this special community this summer?
Diolch yn fawr | Thank you very much,
Kieran.
