What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

I recently inherited an ex service sea rescue bag, offered it to sea rescue charity Refugee Rescue based in Lesvos Greece, they accepted, I found the cheapest going quotes to deliver it (arround £60) so now Im trying to raise the funds to send it ASAP. Refugee Rescue do an amazing job saving the lives of people crossing the mediteranian sea fleeing war and persicution.

Thank you all for your support. The rescue bag is now on it's way, due to arrive on the 30th of July. This page won't close till the 15th of August, as Just give set a minimum duration of 30 days per page, so any extra funds I'll pass directly to Refugee Rescue when the page closes.

actualy turns out the page has to stay open for a minimum of 30 days so it'll close on the 15th of august, however I'll still be able to send the parcell tomorow...

Thank you all so much for your help, that's covered the delivery with quite a bit spare to give directly to Refugee Rescue. I'm going to close this page now, any of you who'd intended to donate but missed the boat, I can recommend donating directly to Refugee Rescue or Help Refugees who fund many different refugee based projects
