I've raised £800 to Kikaaya School nutrition, hydration and education projects in Uganda

Dear All,
My name is Marko and during the summer of 2018 I’m going to Uganda as a volunteer to teach a Nutrition and Health course to deprived high school students with an aim to provide them with a basic level of nutritional education to help them and their families and friends lead healthier, malnutrition-free lifestyles, whilst providing an insight into methods for preventing malnutrition in the future.
The project is hosted by Kikaaya School in conjunction with The Nation Foundation, which is a non-profit and non-governmental organization and 100% of the donations go towards the current projects in Uganda, which you can familiarise yourself with via this link.
I am currently a second year BSc Nutrition and Dietetics student and whilst I am due to complete my final qualification, I am eager to share my knowledge and energy with those who could potentially benefit from my skills. This project particularly interests me as I recognise the importance of adequate nutrition and hydration, particularly as the current climate number of Ugandan citizens still experience extremely high rates of poverty and malnutrition. The highest level of education the majority of children receive is at a secondary school level. Given their circumstances, significant numbers of Ugandan children are in need of education to make nutritional food choices, access to clean water and quality education to facilitate their development and prospects for a positive future. In addition to providing the nutritional education, I intend to host basic cooking skills workshops to provide the children with healthy cooking skills for future life and career.
Thus, this fundraising initiative is set to benefit the development of current projects in Kikaaya School, which include water tank installations, sustainable water technologies and agricultural projects, student sponsorships, scholastic materials and library innovations, as well as the development of other vital projects to improve the lives of children.
Unfortunately, students and the projects heavily rely on your donation as the only source of funding. For that reason, I hope that my friends, colleagues and other passionate people will help me to the fundraising goal of £800 by the 25th of June 2018 to help students fulfil their full potential. In respect of your generosity, myself and The Nation Foundation guarantee that 100% of the raised money will go towards current and new projects at Kikaaya School and I give my promise to keep you all updated on the progress on this page.
I take consideration for the financial circumstances of potential donators, but please remember that every pound, euro or dollar would be highly valued and will contribute to improving the quality of nutrition, hydration, education and life skills for a wealth of young people in this beautiful community. As much as I would like, I am unable to complete this mission without the help of others and strongly believe that every single contribution will make a great change.
Help spread the word! Click share and tell your friends.
Great thanks to all of you!
Best wishes,
Marko
