Story
As 2024 is proving to be a difficult year personally, my drive, energy and focus is now on raising money for two special little girls, Edie and Luciee. Through completing two physical challenges: running 30km in September for Sands Charity (#Run30kForSands) and completing the Robin Hood Half Marathon on 29th September, I aim to raise as much money as possible on behalf of both girls! Please read on to find out more about these two special girls . . .
Edie, my niece, was sadly born sleeping on 24th August 2019. As a way to remember her, half of the money raised will be given to Sands which is a charity that supports anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby to offer understanding and comfort and this charity continues to be a big part of my family's lives today.
Luciee, a 13 year old girl, diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in December 2022. Despite defying all odds since becoming unwell, her family are still living with the unknown each day. As the Deputy Headteacher of Luciee's infant school, teaching her younger twin siblings in my class and currently having her younger brother in school, I would like to be able to help in allowing them to make as many special memories together as possible in the future. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small, as I hope to do both of these special little girls proud!
