Story

So gorgeous little Edie was born on the 24th August 2014 at 25 weeks weighing 1 pound 9oz and due to being premature she has had a number of complications, all of which she has took on the chin with the most beautiful smile on her face !!!

Edie was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, this makes Edies muscles stiff and mobility difficult. But because Edie is a strong determined superstar nothing stops her.

SNAPS a Special Needs And Parent Support group provides leisure support services for children with special needs of all kinds, and their families. SNAPS is a very special charity and they have supported both Edie, her mummy and daddy over the last few years. SNAPS have provided physiotherapist led hydrotherapy and rebound sessions, along with swimming.
Edie loves SNAPS and im sure everyone who attends does too.

So, this is the reason I have decided to hang up my party shoes and run the Yorkshire 10 mile in October to raise money for a much loved charity.

As lots of you know the only running I usually do is to the bar for a prosecco or shot so this is going to be a huge challenge for me but if Edie can face the challenges she meets day to day then Im a 100% I can smash this!
