I've raised £2000 to help fund a volunteer nursing project in rural Zimbabwe

As a Paediatric Nurse I have always wanted to do something to help children and their families that do not have access to the healthcare facilities we do in the UK. In August this year i will finally get to travel to Zimbabwe to take part in a community nursing volunteer project with a charity called African Impact. During my 2 week stay I will be working in the maternity unit and baby clinics as well as making home visits to people who are unable to reach the hospitals or clinics. As part of the project I will also be taking some medical equipment from the UK such as bandages, needles and gloves to supply the most remote clinics in rural Zimbabwe.
To keep this project going it costs and relies on charity donations to continue providing medical assistance and support. Myself and my colleague will contribute everything we can whilst we are there but we need your help to make it happen. Please donate whatever you can to help the children and families that really need it.
As well as this page we will be running a Pub Quiz on Friday 6th July so save the date.... more details to follow!
Every penny raised will get me closer to being part of this exciting project so please give all you can , I really appreciate your support xxx
