I've raised £4000 to Help send Ledbury Swifts Girls U16 team to Stromstad in Sweden to play in their football tournament & represent Ledbury in civic functions.

Be Ahead Of The Curve & Help Us Get The Ledbury Swifts Girls Team To Sweden!!
Ledbury Swifts Football Club is based at the Ross Road Playing Fields and was formed in 1987. The development of youth sports has accelerated in the last few years, with the Swifts leading the way. Year upon year, the club has grown into being one of the Premier Youth Football Clubs in Herefordshire, with their moto 'Friendship Through Sport'.
For several years now the club has travelled to Stromstad, Sweden, Ledbury's twin town, to take part in an U16's football tournament. A different group each year makes the long trip, to experience the Swedish approach to life and sport.
For the first time in the history of the club, we are sending our U16 girls team in 2019, and as girl’s football is now in the ascendance, we are ahead of the curve. Understandably, all the girls aged 14-16 are very excited!!!
Our teams have coped very well with the difference in cultures and the continental way of playing, we have always competed well, reaching the final of the tournament, on every occasion. The links we have established are unique to our club and something we are justly proud of, ie. attending Mayoral Civic Luncheons and being ambassadors for Ledbury town.
As you can imagine, such an adventure takes a lot of planning and expense. The average tour costs approx. £8000, which covers flights, bus transfers, accommodation and all meals. As a squad, the 18 girls will try and raise a substantial amount through sponsorship of runs, bike rides, organising of quiz nights, bingos, raffles and the ubiquitous tea stall at the side-lines.
We kindly ask if you or anyone you know could kindly help fund this amazing experience for us to become the first Girls team to complete the Sweden trip, and lead the way for future female generations to follow! Any donation, however big or small would be greatly appreciated!
